Fortuna Energy would like your help with its 2009 calendar. If you have a photo you think would be a good addition to the calendar, please submit it to us using the following guidelines.
We are looking for striking digital or film images of nature, highlighting the diversity of life on Earth. Your images may be taken from anywhere in the Twin Tiers area and the location should be included in the photo caption. Your images may show local animals, portraits of wildlife in a natural habitat, local plant life, local landscapes, weather or people interacting with nature. Show us the vibrant colors that paint a picture in your corner of the world and Fortuna will try to incorporate them into the 2009 calendar.
What we can use:
- Rivers, streams, lakes and waterfalls
- Flowers and plants
- Wetlands
- Conservation in action
- Children and/or adults conserving natural resources, including water, flora and fauna.
- Wildlife
- Insects
- Birds
- Fish
- Hiking, bird watching, mountain biking snow skiing and other land-based nature activities
- Sailing, kayaking, and other lake activities
- Any eco-tourism-related subjects
- Flora and fauna (macro)
Instructions:
- Photo prints or slides must be 35mm quality or better.
- Digital photos must be high resolution and in their original files (not manipulated or format modified).
- Deadline for receipt is June 30, 2008.
- Subjects can include local scenery, wildlife and Fortuna-related topics (such as well sites, community donations or open houses).
- Consider seasons, holidays and events for all 12 months when choosing photos to submit.
- Submission does not guarantee inclusion in the calendar.
- By submitting your photos, you are agreeing to let Fortuna Energy make full use of them in the 2009 calendar, in any promotion of the calendar and on our web site (personal credit will be given).
- To ensure proper crediting, all photos, photo disks and emails should be clearly labeled with your name, address and phone number.
- Photos will not be returned.
