Attorney General's Office ends investigation

The New York Attorney General's office has concluded an investigation of leasing practices of oil and gas companies that began in 2004.

"I am pleased that we have been able to work with the Attorney General's Office to create a new set of business practices for negotiating leases," Fortuna president Jim O'Driscoll said.

"There is an overriding desire for Fortuna to have good relations with our landowners."
