In order to explore for gas, Fortuna must first lease surface access and subsurface oil and gas rights. We have acquired more than 16,000 oil and gas leases covering one million acres.
When a well is successful, royalties are paid to the leaseholders. More than 2,500 people are currently receiving monthly royalty payments on our wells.
